The guest speakers for the May NJAG meeting will be students from Montclair State University. They will share with us the the various research projects they have done this year. 

The topics and speakers will be:

Magneto-elastic Resonance of Amorphous Alloys –  Anthony Mannino

Magneto-optical Elements of Future Gravitational-wave Detectors – Valerie Avendano

Non-contact Magnetic Control of a Michelson Interferometer – Kevin Santiago

Modeling Discrete Time Series Using Lucas Numbers – Cheyenne Petzold

Monthly meetings of the NJAG are free and open to the public - all are welcomed. Meetings usually feature a presentation about astronomy or space science by an amateur or professional astronomer.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month (except August); light refreshments will be served. Meeting will be held at Montclair State University in the Center for Environmental and Life Sciences (CELS). This is the relatively new building next to Richardson Hall. NJAG will meet in room 110 on the first floor (this is the room off on the left hand side at the back of the main lobby area). For directions, click on 'Directions' at top of the page.
