NJAG members are meeting on this date to celebrate the Winter Soltice.

Our guest speaker will be Terri Zittrisch from the Vermont Astronomical Society. Their topic will be Building a Home Observatory in Vermont.

Adventures in Astronomy

This is a reminder that there is no NJAG meeting in August. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept 9. During that meeting NJAG members will share their recent astronomy adventures, observations and images.

The NJAG program on Tuesday June 10 at 8:15 PM in CELS 110 and by Zoom will feature astrophotographer Stan Honda (AAA) speaking on "In The Firmament: Sky and Landscape". He takes a photographic look at the night sky and the relationship to the landscapes we stand on.

The May meeting of NJAG will feature our annual Student Showcase where local students from Montclair State, CUNY Staten Island and University of Scranton will present projects they have been working on this semester:

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Mary Lou West, and she will speak about the
Ophiuchus sculpture at Montclair State University.

Our guest speaker will be Prudence Jones, her topic will be "Constellation Myths from Antiquity"

Update: Note due to the poor weather conditions predicted for tonight, we are holding this meeting online on Zoom only - the in-person meeting at MSU is canceled.
