The May meeting of NJAG will feature our annual Student Showcase where local students from Montclair State, CUNY Staten Island and University of Scranton will present projects they have been working on this semester:

  • Sophie Krupin, Cosmic Ray Muon Flux During the 2024 Solar Eclipse (Kent Leung, MSU)
  • Joseph David Quinn-Vitabile, Using Machine Learning to Jointly Infer a Neutron Star Equation of State (Shaon Ghosh, MSU)
  • Jacob Yuzovitskiy, The Shape of Dying Galaxies: Poststarburst Galaxy Morphology and Query Methods in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (Charles Liu, CUNY College of Staten Island)
  • Lena Ouellette, A Geotechnical Quest: The Hydrogeological Setting of an Artesian Well System in Stokes State Forest (Greg Pope, MSU)
  • Diego Sanchez, Amateur Radio as a Scientific Tool: Ionospheric Observations and Atmospheric Coupling Studies through HamSCI (Nathaniel Frissell, University of Scranton)

    Monthly meetings are held at Montclair State University, in the Center for Environmental and Life Sciences or CELS Building, Room 110. This is located off the large lounge area at the back of the building. Room 110 is on your left.
