Where can I view the Geminids?

We are getting a lot of questions about where people can go to view the Geminids.

We do have our regularly scheduled Telescope Night on Thursday, Dec 13 (Cleck on "Events" above) - the shower will be underway at that point so you might catch a few early ones.

Unfortunately, as far as we are aware, most local, county & state parks technically close after sunset. State parks that offer camping may be open but you'll very likely need a permit and some are closed due to damage from Hurricane Sandy. You'll have to check with local, county or state park departments for more information (See: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/camping.html).
