Telescope Nights

Join us on Thursday nights for stargazing with our telescopes (weather permitting). All are welcome! Click "Read More" below for details!

  • WHEN : 8 - 9 PM, Clear Thursdays: 
    Sept. 3 -Dec 10,  except Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving) 
  • WHERE: Telescope will be set up on campus in front of Richardson Hall, a science and mathematics building, just east of the Student Center.
  • TO SEE : Constellations, the Moon, planets, star clusters, double stars, nebulae, galaxies, and more.

Note Telescope nights will start early at 7:30 p.m. for children to see the Moon on Sept. 24, Oct. 22, and Nov. 19.

 

Our telescopes cannot see through clouds! Public Telescope Night will be cancelled if the weather is cloudy, very cold, or very windy (It is considered clear if you can see the moon or ten stars clearly). If Telescope Night is cancelled a message will be left at (973) 594-6524.
