"Professor Goddard does not know the relation between action and reaction and the need to have something better than a vacuum against which to react. He seems to lack the basic knowledge ladled out daily in high schools."
--1921 New York Times editorial about Robert Goddard's revolutionary rocket work.

"Correction: It is now definitely established that a rocket can function in a vacuum. The 'Times' regrets the error."
NY Times, July 1969.

El Sol

El Sol

Like I wrote on my blog, I really couldn't find a perfect focus.  It's hot now!

Nice one

where is your blog?
URL?

John, it's a really nice

John,
it's a really nice shot. Why not try a shot like this once a week to show solar rotation?

Focus

You need to concentrate on the Sun's edge more than the "spots". Getting the edge sharp as you can and the "spots" will become clear and sharp. If you magnify this image you can see the outer edge is not sharp. Good luck !
