SPRING 2020 PUBLIC TELESCOPE NIGHTS
At Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ
Please note that spring break at Montclair State has been extended and onsite classes have been cancelled until further notice. As a result our weekly Telescope Nights and monthly meetings are currently on hold. Telescope Nights will hopefully resume in a few weeks as the situation allows. Updates will be posted here and on our Facebook page.
WHEN: 8 - 9 PM, Clear Thursdays
Jan. 23 to May 7(except Spring Break, March 12)
7:30 pm for kids to see the Moon! 2/6, 3/5, 4/2 & 4/30
WHERE: In front of the CELS Building east of the Student Center. Visitors can park in the Red Hawk Deck, or in the metered spots in Lot 19 near Blanton Hall. Parking map: buff.ly/2L9cnrk
TO SEE: Constellations, the Moon, Planets, Star clusters, Double stars, Nebulae, Galaxies, and more!

- See Uranus from January - March
- See Neptune from January - February
- See Taurus, Orion & Gemini January - March
- See the Pleiades star cluster January - March
- See the Andromeda galaxy in January & February
Note: Our telescopes cannot see through clouds! Public Telescope Night will be cancelled if the weather is cloudy, cold (< 20oF), or very windy (It is “clear” if you can see the moon or ten stars clearly.) Call 973-594-6524 for a cancellation message.
